SAVAGE HEART
John Richmond presents "Savage Heart", a study in tension for Autumn Winter 2026. The collection confronts London’s enduring contradictions, where discipline meets dissent, heritage clashes with rupture, and elegance stands beside outright refusal.
Victorian restraint collides with the defiant spirit of Teddy Boys and Teddy Girls, reimagined through a contemporary gothic lens. Black dominates in layered textures, interrupted by flashes of blood red, punk pink, and ivory. The palette is driven by emotion rather than decoration.
Construction becomes narrative. Architectural straps, lacing systems, and intelligent bondage references shape the body while questioning power and control. Chains meet fragile fabrics, raw edges resist polish, and dead roses and thistles emerge as emblems of beauty sharpened by survival.
This is not fashion designed to reassure. It is fashion meant to be felt, confronted, and remembered.
